East Coast Championship 2024

Thirty young HHSC sailors competed at the East Coast Championship 2024 this weekend, across Open and Intermediate Opti fleets (where Hunters Hill sailors made up over one third of the entire fleet), ILCA4, ILCA6 and IQ Foils.

Some highlights include:

• Healy (aka MacGyver) winning in the ILCA6 (including a win in the last race while sailing with a less than ideal repair to a gear breakage)
• Sylvie first female and fifth overall in the ILCA6, despite missing an entire day of competition!
• Harper first female in the Open Optis
• Zac third in the Open Optis

There were some great individual race results including

• a second for Victoria in the Open Opti fleet
• a first for Alex, seconds for Axel and Harry and a third for Taylor in the Intermediiate Opti fleet,
• a third for Sophie in the ILCA4

As always, there were many other personal bests and achievements across the entire team at all levels that can't be seen on a results spreadsheet.
